Summary:

AF0728 and AF1843 are Cobalamine biosynthesis proteins. AF0729 is putative transport protein.AF1842/AF1841 and AF0730/AF0731 encode proteins likely to be involved in the transport of cobalt, a component of vitamin B12. However AF1843/AF0728 cobalamin synthetic genes have not apparent homologs in the above other species. These differences suggest that the cobalamin biosynthetic pathways differ between the two organisms.
