Comment:
This protein should be investigated to see if the mature form is
actually two different proteins.

The amino acid sequence needs to be changed at position 68 from V-> D.

In pathogenic bacteria this protein is essential for the production
and maintenance of functional adhesins on the cell surface. It
could have an important function as a repair enzyme for proteins
that have been inactivated by oxidation. It catalyzes the reversible
oxidation-reduction of methionine sulfoxide in proteins to methionine.
