Comment:
This ORF encodes the TrpS protein which belongs to the tRNA synthetases class I (Trp and Tyr) [see Pfam]. This family includes only tryptophanyl and tyrosyl tRNA synthetases, as other tRNA sythetase subfamilies are too dissimilar to be included.

Other significant hits are made to (but not limited to), the TrpS proteins of B.subtilis (SYW_BACSU), H.pylori (SYW_HELPY), M.pneumoniae (SYW_MYCPN), and H.influenzae (SYW_HAEIN).

A BLAST against the STDPRO database reveals significant hits to MG126, TP0632 and CT585, all described as TrpS (tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase) proteins. For example: UU175 residues 1-328 are 42% similar to residues 2-336 of MG126.
