Comment:
In E. coli, the enzymes which catalyze the reversible phosphorylosis
of pyrmidine nucleotides are involved in the degradation of these
compounds and in their utilization as carbon and energy sources, or
in the rescue of pyrimidine bases for nucleotide synthesis.
