Comment:
In Bacillus stearothermophilus this protein is involved in the
detoxification of xenobiotics. It preferentially hydrolyses triglycerides
with short chain fatty acids rather than long-chain ones.

Reaction:
A CARBOXYLIC ESTER + H(2)O = AN ALCOHOL + A CARBOXYLIC ANION.

This protein seems to have an extra N-terminal region.
