Comment:
The call for the episolon subunit is made based on the overall size
and the region of similarity is more closely related to epsilon
subunits than to alpha subunits.

DNA polymerase III is a complex, multichain enzyme responsible for
most of the replicative synthesis in bacteria. The epsilon subunit
contains the editing function and is a proofreading 3'-5' exonuclease.
