Comment:
From GenBANK (gi:12230243): This protein catalyzes the reaction: (acetyl-CoA + l-homoserine = CoA + o-acetyl-l-homoserine) in the biosynthesis of methionine (HTA variant; first step). This cytoplasmic protein belongs to the AB hydrolase family; HTA subfamily.
