Comment:
From GenBANK (gi:127035): MetF catalyzes the reaction: 5-methyltetrahydrofolate + acceptor = 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate + reduced acceptor, requiring a cofactor, FAD. It is involved in methionine biosynthesis. This homotetramer belongs to the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (EC 1.5.1.20/EC 1.7.99.5) family.
