Comment:
From GenBANK (gi:126035): This is the first component of the membrane-bound d-lactate oxidase, which is believed to play an important role in the energization of the active transport of a variety of sugars and amino acids, by the reaction: d-lactate + NAD(+) = pyruvate + NADH, with a cofactor, FAD. It also requires phospholipid for maximal activity. This protein is membrane
bound, located at the inner face of the cytoplasmic membrane.
