From GenBANK (gi:585399): Lgt transfers the N-acyl diglyceride group on what will become the N-terminal cysteine of membrane lipoproteins. It is involved in the first step in lipoprotein biosynthesis. This integral membrane protein of the inner membrane belongs to the lgt family.
