From GenBANK (gi:3023419): In Eucalyptus gunnii, this protein is involved in the reinforcement of the plant cell wall under conditions that trigger the disease resistance response by the reaction: s-adenosyl-l-methionine + caffeoyl-CoA = s-adenosyl-l-homocysteine + feruloyl-CoA. This is involved in lignin biosynthesis.
