This enzyme, an integral membrane protein, catalyzes the conversion of phosphatidate to CDP-diacylglycerol.

are 65% similar to CDSA_MYCPN, CDP-diglyceride synthetase of Mycoplasma
pneumoniae,(AE000020). Residues 54-263 are 27% similar to CDSA_DROME,
CDP-diglyceride synthetase of Drosophila. In addition residues 231-276 are 34% similar to TP0602, phosphatidate
cytidylyltransferase of T. pallidum and residues 107-161 are 41% similar
to CT451, CDP-diglyceride synthetase of C. trachomatis.
