Comment:
This enzyme is designated component E2 of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which
converts pyruvate to acetyl CoA and CO2. Pyruvate dehydrogenase (MG273, MG274)
is the E1 component and lipoamide dehydrogenase (MG271) is the E3
component.

sequences, e.g. residues 1-384 are 71% similar to ODP2_MYCPN.
