Comment:
This enzyme is designated component E3 of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which
converts pyruvate to acetyl CoA and CO2. Dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase
(MG272) is the E2 component and pyruvate dehydrogenase (MG273, MG274) is the E1
component.
