Blast Summary:  PSI-Blast Search
Only signicant hit in gapped BLAST is to a proline-rich P65 protein from MYCPN: residues 167-372 are 45% similar to this protein.

MG217 is orthologously related to MP0527: residues 16-372 of MG217 are 42% similar to residues 4-405 of MP0527, a predicted P65 protein from M. pneumoniae. MG217 is also similar to MP0389, a predicted hmw3 cytadherence accessory protein, and MP0187, a predicted Mycoplasma-specific hypothetical protein, both from M. pneumoniae. MG217 shows no significant similarity to C.trachomatis, C. pneumoniae, U. urealyticum or T.pallidum
sequences.

COGS Summary:  COGS Search
None

Blocks Summary:  Blocks Search
Residues 32-170 span seven regions that are members of block
PR00414C (palmitoyl protein). Residues 30-141 span five regions
that are members of block PR00394D (RHS protein signature).

ProDom Summary:  Protein Domain Search
Residues 181-369 constitute a defined domain of P65H_MYCGE.

Paralogs:  Local Blast Search
MG217 is weakly paralogous to MG318, predicted to be a fibronectin-binding protein: residues 5-104 are 37% similar to residues 160-271 of MG318.
