Comment:
This ORF encodes the TrpS protein which belongs to the tRNA synthetases class I (Trp and Tyr) [see Pfam]. This family includes only tryptophanyl and tyrosyl tRNA synthetases, as other tRNA sythetase subfamilies are too dissimilar to be included.

Gapped BLAST revealed several significant hits
to tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase proteins. For example residues 1-345
are 64% similar to SYW_MYCPN, tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase of Mycoplasma
pneumoniae, (AE000056). Residues 3-340 are 38% similar to SYW_HELPY,
tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase of Helicobacter pylori,(AE000630).
In addition this protein has significant hits to both the T. pallidum
and C. trachomatis tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase proteins. Residues
4-345 are 27% similar to TP0632 and residues 3-341 are 30% similar to
CT585.
