Comment:
PolIII is a multichain enzyme with replicative function as well as 3' to 5' exonucleolytic activity. For other polIII subunits, see MG001, 007, 261, 420. MG031 is more similar to polC of Gram-positives whereas MG261 is more similar to Gram-negatives : MG031 possesses an exonuclease domain whereas MG261 does not.
