Comment:
One of four genes whose products make up the putative type III, virulence-
associated, contact-dependent, secretion pathway. Other genes
in this cluster found in C. pneumoniae are CPN0322, CPn0324, CPn0322. A second cluster of interest is CPn0823, CPn0824, CPn0825, CPn0826, and CPn0828.
As many as 20 membrane proteins may be involved in this system. See Hsia
et al., Mol. Microbiol. 25:351,1997 and Hueck,
Microbiol. and Mol. Biol. Rev. 62:379, 1998.
Probably assocated with the inner membrane.
