This protein is identical to GenBank accession AAD18259 (genome position accession AE001597).

The PhoH protein from E. coli is homologous to the N-terminal domain of DNA and RNA helicase superfamily I proteins (Koonin EV, and Rudd KE. 1996. Protein Sci 5(1):178-80).
