Comment:
The ribosomal L7/L12 protein is said to be
essential for accurate translation in
protein synthesis. See Engel et al., J.
Bact.172:5732 (1990). L7 is L12 in which the
amino terminus has been acetylated. The
L7/L12 dimers aggregate with another
ribosomal protein (see CT317). A 3D
structure is available for RL7_ECOLI.
