Comment:
CPn0053 appears to be a member of the RadA family, which is thought to play a
role in endogenous damage repair. The BACSU and ECOLI enzymes are zinc-finger proteins.

Numerous hits in gapped BLAST to RadA proteins, e.g. residues 1-452
are 67% similar to CT298, a predicted RADA-related protein. Among other similarities
are those to TP1022 and to RADA_BACSU. No similarity to M.genitalium
or U.urealyticum.

CPn0053 is orthologously related to CT298: residues 1-452 of CPn0053 are
71% similar to residues 1-453 of CT298, a predicted Sms protein from
C. trachomatis.
