This enzyme is responsible for the formation of pseudouridine in the anticodon stem of tRNAs.

e.g. residues 4-253 are 35% similar to TRUA_HAEIN. Residues 9-248
are 29% similar to a pseudouridylate synthase I sequence from
M.genitalium, MG182. CT463 is also similar to TP0830 in
T.pallidum.

CT463 is orthologously related to CPn0580: residues 4-256 of CT463
are similar to residues 3-255 of CPn0580, a predicted pseudouridylate
synthetase from C. pneumoniae.
