Comment:
One beta chain, one beta prime chain, two alpha chains and a sigma chain make up the E.coli RNA polymerase, which catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA. See CT314 for the beta prime sequence, CT507 for the alpha chain, CT615 for the sigma RPOD and
CT609 for the sigma-54.

Found one related reference: Aboshkiwa M, Rowland G, Coleman G. 1995. Nucleotide sequence of the Staphylococcus aureus RNA polymerase rpoB gene and comparison of its predicted amino acid sequence with those of other bacteria. Biochim Biophys Acta 1262(1):73-8.
