Rnc is an endonuclease that digests double-stranded RNA.

Numerous hits in gapped BLAST to rnc sequences, e.g., residues 6-211 are 33%
similar to the ribonuclease III of B.burgdorferi. Residues 7-223 are
32% similar to TP0809 of T.pallidum, a predicted ribonuclease III. CT297
is also similar to MG367 from M.genitalium.

CT297 is orthologously related to CPn0054: residues 1-231 of CT297
