Blast Summary:  PSI-Blast Search
Numerous hits in gapped BLAST to protein phosphatase sequences as well as sequences
of hypothetical proteins, e.g., residues 3-247 are 33% similar to a
hypothetical protein from Synechocystis; residues 9-247 are 35% similar
to a putative Ptc1 protein from B. subtilis (Y13937). Protein phosphatase
similarities tend to be with rodent enzymes, of which P2CB_MOUSE, P2CB_RAT,
P2CA_RAT are representative. CT259 is similar to MG108 of M.genitalium, a predicted
protein phosphatase 2C homolog. No similarity to T.pallidum.
CT259 is orthologously related to CPn0397: residues 5-248 are 61% similar to CPn0397.

COGS Summary:  COGS Search

Number of proteins in this genome belonging to this COG is 1

Blocks Summary:  Blocks Search
None.

ProDom Summary:  Protein Domain Search
Residues 1-248 are approximately 29% similar to a phosphatase domain
represented by Y108_MYCGE.

Paralogs:  Local Blast Search
No evidence of paralogs in C.trachomatis.

Pfam Summary:  Pfam Search
Residues 7 to 240 (E-value = 4.5e-05) place CT259 in the PP2C family which is described as Protein phosphatase 2C (PF00481)
