Comment:
CLPA, CLPB, CLPC are chaperone proteins, not regarded to be true heat-shock
proteins but which support degradation of denatured proteins under conditions
of high temperature. They have ATPase activity and provide subunit support
to an ATP-dependent protein, the ClpP. See CT286, CT705, CT706, CT344, CT841,
CT689, and CT431.

Numerous hits in gapped BLAST to CLP-related sequences, e.g.,
residues 3-865 are 45% similar to CLPB_SYNP7. Residues
1-848 are 44% similar to CLPB_ECOLI. CT113 is also similar to TP0071 in T.pallidum
and to MG355 in M.genitalium, both predicted clpB sequences.

CT113 is orthlogously related to CPn0144: residues 1-866 of CT113 are 84%
similar to residues 1-866 of CPn0144, a predicted ClpB-related ATP-dependent
protease from C. pneumoniae.

CT113 is virtually identical to PG1000.
