Comment:
In addition to its replicative activities, the pol III enzyme has
3' to 5' exonuclease activity. The alpha chain has the polymerizing activity,
while the epsilon chain has the exonucleolytic activity. It would seem
from their lengths that both CT261 and CT536 may be alpha chains, though CT261
has the better score to defined epsilon sequences. See CT187 for gamma/tau

Numerous hits in gapped BLAST to pol III, beta sequences, e.g. residues
1-363 are 29% similar to DP3B_HAEIN. Residues 51-412 are 25% similar to a DNA polymerase III subunit beta sequence of TP0002 in T.pallidum.
No similarity to M.genitalium (although the enzyme is found in genitalium, MG001).

CT075 is similar to CPn0338, a predicted DNA Polymerase III (beta chain): residues 51-416 are 83% similar
to residues 1-366 of CPn0338.
