Comment:
This protein is identical to GenBank accession AAC67619 (genome position accession AE001277). Similar to RNAse H of retroviruses -- degrades ribonucleotide portion of RNA-DNA hybrid. See CT008.

Ribonuclease HII degrades the ribonucleotide moiety on RNA-DNA
hybrid molecules. Endonucleolytic cleavage to 5'-phospho-monoester. Ribonuclease HII has similarity with other RNase H from bacteria, fungi, and with RNase H domains from Pol of retroviruses.
